Platform (Android, iOS, Website): Website

App version number, if a mobile app issue (shown under Settings or About):

Browser, if a website issue (Firefox, Chrome, etc) : Microsoft Edge

URLs (aka web addresses) of any relevant observations or pages:

Screenshots of what you are seeing (instructions for taking a screenshot on computers and mobile devices: https://www.take-a-screenshot.org/):

Description of problem (please provide a set of steps we can use to replicate the issue, and make as many as you need.):

I follow some taxa and check all their posts.
Until now, the latest posts were displayed immediately in the “Following” tab on the home screen.
However, recently, the latest posts are often not displayed.
They appear with a delay of a few minutes to a few hours.
This has been happening for the past three days in a row, and it always occurs between around midnight and 8:00 AM Japan time.
At other times, the Following function works perfectly fine.
Has anyone else experienced a similar issue?

Maybe related to this issue (if not I’ll make a separate bug report): I noticed a significant delay in notifications yesterday. Some of my observations have been IDed and I got the notification only three hours later

Sounds like: https://forum.inaturalist.org/t/not-getting-id-notifications-on-my-observations/64152

Yes, I’m going to close this topic to focus on the broader one about slowness. But as I said there, as far as we can tell this isn’t a bug, this is due to heavy lead. This is right around the busiest time of year for iNat.
