Not Getting ID Notifications On My Observations

Description of problem (please provide a set of steps we can use to replicate the issue, and make as many as you need.):

Step 1: Uploaded observations via web version

Step 2: Went to dashboard, “All Updates”, “Your content”, and iNat Next “My Content” pages, and did not see any IDs for my observations, despite people IDing my observations a few minutes ago. The last notification for an ID made to one of my observations was a day ago.

Forgot to mention, I am still getting notifications that other people have added an ID to an observation that I have added an ID to in the past. I’m just not getting notifications for my own observations.

Confirming the same. No notifications at all today despite receiving IDs on my observations.

Same here, Just uploaded a bunch of observations and can see that many of them are research grade but there’s no notifications.

Same thing seems to be happening here (on the website using Firefox in case that is relevant).

The notifications do show up on the app in the ‘activity’ tab when I check there but I am not see any little notification symbols on the website.

When this has happened in the past, the notifications are usually delayed.

Same here. It is for both ID and comment notifications for me.

Thank you, yes, this seems like the case. A notification from one of my observations just came through at ~5:30pm when the original ID was at ~1:30pm.

Update. A couple of the notifications have now appeared on the website. But some others which have been updated are not notifying me. So perhaps they are just delayed as thomaseverest suggests.

Just here to confirm the same. Thought it might be due to just downloading the new iNat app today, but from the other responses I guess that’s not the issue? It is true across all devices/platforms as well, though.

Not sure if it could be related, but I got an iNat Message today, but no notification via email, which I believe would be typical.

Happy I found this because it’s happening for me as well, web and mobile versions.

Update: some of them just popped up, but not the most recent.

I have a similar problem. I get ID notifications to my observations a few hours after identification. Same problem on Windows and in the Android app.

My notifications have been pretty delayed recently.

I never get notifications of IDs even that is checked on my preferences.

Mondays are a pretty heavy day for the site. As far as we can tell, there isn’t a bug here, just a heavy load on the system.

I am not getting new notifications. I use Chrome on the web site. I have observations today that have been identified, but I didn’t get a notification for any of them.
