As you may know, this forum is run on server and software from Discourse.org, and they periodically make updates to the site.
You’ve probably noticed the new text editor, but they’ve also added a Filter option which you can find in the sidebar under More or by going to https://forum.inaturalist.org/filter. See Discourse’s post about it here.
I’m going to have to get used to the new auto-formatting of links. I tried the old \<a href=\ type embedding but it trips up on that now.
when you write stuff in the forum now, there’s an option to switch between a Rich Text Editor view and a Markdown Editor view. Markdown, HTML, etc. need be input in the Markdown Editor view. If you try to input that sort of stuff in the Rich Text editor, it’s going to escape special syntax in an attempt to turn your code into regular text.
