I am looking for a paid expert consultant to help me NOW (this week) with a blitz in CT USA. the Project set-up or App settings are confusing. in the new iNaturalist app there is no drop-down menu for adding direct observations to the Project. it is also hard to upload observations. Help!
Please fill out the following sections to the best of your ability, it will help us investigate bugs if we have this information at the outset. Screenshots are especially helpful, so please provide those if you can.
Platform: iOS
App version number, if a mobile app issue:
Browser, if a website issue:
URLs (aka web addresses) of any relevant observations or pages:

Description of problem:
on the website, even though I am a member (and admin) of a bona fide Project, it is not shown within an Observation as a Project which I can choose (nor will it recognize a properly typed in Project name) to add the observation to. on the app there is drop down menu. all old observations show under my Personal iNaturalist, while all new observations automatically show in the Project and in my Personal app list

I recently created a bioblitz project. Are you familiar with project types (traditional, collection, umbrella)? Option for creating the traditional ones, where you manually add obserwations, is a bit hidden in my opinion. On the other hand, for bioblitz, a collection project might be more appropriate, where observations are added to the project automaticcally when they fulfill certain criteria (set by the project administrator).
Sorry if you already decided not to set up a project by yourself and you only are looking for someone to do it for you, not for advice :)
Setting up a bioblitz is extremely easy! Thanks to iNaturalist anyone can do it without trouble and certainly without a paid consultant.
Just simply visit the projects link on iNat: https://www.inaturalist.org/projects/new and click start a collection project and chose the name project and then I would recommend carefully reading through the project page and choosing what specs you would like for the project (such as a time frame if it is a timed bioblitz). If you’re having difficulty adding observations don’t hesitate to troubleshoot and or visit this forum post for further tips: https://forum.inaturalist.org/t/adding-observations-to-projects/36596
Hi @benedictb, the bug report template asks for additional information. Please provide the missing information so others are able to assist you with the issue you are encountering. I re-added the template to your post.
Edit: it looks like you have two topics about the same thing, so I merged them into one.
What’s the URL of the project? These kinds of specific details are often necessary.
I found this to be an issue on the new iPhone app - as an observer, I cannot add my observation to a traditional project. I agree with justyna_kierat that a collection project might make more sense for a bioblitz in these circumstances. Then the participants just need to join the project once, and observations that they make that meet the bioblitz criteria (eg time, place and taxa) will automatically be added to the project.
Correct, it’s not currently available in the new app.
