When I upload a bunch of obs (I usually do about 8 obs at a time with around 18 pics), often one of them doesn’t upload. A random one in the middle of the bunch. This doesn’t happen on all uploads. I have waited in case something needs time to refresh, but the missing ob never reappears, and I ha…

This bug seems to have been fixed. I can add Life Stage annotations during upload and I don’t have any indexing problems. I have tried all sorts of permutations, and iNat is no longer foxed by any of them ;-) Thank you to the fixer(s)! Will mark this as solved.

I have done more tests, and even uploading 15 obs with various fields etc. has not broken anything. Marking as solved :grinning:

[image] karoopixie: Is it possible to restore/fix the obs that have not loaded properly? Or at least find all the orphaned pictures so that I (and perhaps others) know what I (we) need to reload? I’m not sure which obs you’re referring to. If you can provide some URLs maybe we can investigate…

Ah, they are loading now (they didn’t before). Thanks, Ken-ichi, I will go through all obs I uploaded during June/July and look for duplicates.

Okay, I found 5 duplicates (though I have documented 8 non-uploaders which I reloaded on this thread). If photos stay in the db even if an ob is deleted, then it will be hard to find the ‘real’ orphans! Shouldn’t they be deleted along with the ob? Anyway, the duplicates were Drepanogynis figurata…

[image] Disappearing Observations Further to the above link: I have had two non-uploads today. The first one did appear after refreshing my Edit Obs page. The second one has not reappeared after refreshing several times over 8 minutes. @pisum could I prevail upon you to find my missing ob, plea…

@karoopixie , I’m not seeing the same errors in the logs on our end as I did before, so I suspect this is a different problem. Again, if I can’t see any errors, I need to know how to replicate the bug, which I can’t do unless I have a photo that consistently won’t upload, or a set of steps that consi…

Ah, okay, that makes sense. Thanks for the explanation.

(I found one more duplicate, BTW.)
