This is a relatively minor issue, but one that has been bugging me for the last few weeks. I am using the iNaturalist iOS app (1.0.2).
Occasionally, when I upload an observation from the app, it doesn’t appear in my Observations list when viewing the iNaturalist website from my browser (same behavior for several browsers). Reloading the page doesn’t help. However, if I search for this observation by using the search bar on the Observations page, the record appears as expected. If I navigate back to the main Observations page, the record still doesn’t show up here.
Sometimes, it takes many hours for the observation to show up on the main Observations list, even though I can search for it and find it immediately. This does not happen with every upload, but has occurred ~5 times in the last two weeks.
I appreciate any insight! I’m not even sure if this is an iNat bug or something going on with my browser/cache.

Thanks! Now that there are two completely different versions of the iOS app floating out there, knowing which app version is particularly important.
My guess is that you are viewing a cached version of Explore, which I think iNat staff implemented to increase site performance. But I’m not sure and will leave it to staff/others to check this out.
Sharing some examples URLs and screenshots that show when observations are and aren’t displayed might be helpful to diagnose the issue.
Yes, that is the link to the page where the observation should appear, but doesn’t. Searching for the taxon using the species search filter does show the observation as expected. It simply doesn’t show up on the main page.
Thanks for the feedback. If you have visited the page before it most likely is cached. Clearing your browser’s cache and then reloading should fix this
