Description of problem (please provide a set of steps we can use to replicate the issue, and make as many as you need.): When an observation is research grade but the photo is flagged as copyright infringement and then subsequently removed, the observation is returned to research grade status.

Step 1: Find research grade observation with copyright infringement and flag as such

Step 2: Uploader deletes photo and copyright flag is resolved

Step 3: The now photo-less observation is returned to research grade

I put it to casual by downvoting the “is there evidence of an organism”, but yeah, it should really be automatic if all photos are removed.

Tried to replicate this on our test server but couldn’t. I suspect it’s a reindexing glitch and not a systemic issue. Do you know if the observation became casual grade between steps 1 and 2?

I believe it went from RG to casual when the flag was made. This isn’t the only observation from this user that this happened with, btw.

Thanks. I faved the observation to force it to reindex and it became casual grade so it probably was never reindexed when it was supposed to be. Difficult to know if that was a temporary glitch or something more systemic. Have you see it happen at other times aside from this user’s observations?

Nope, I’ve not seen this happen before.
