We have an ongoing (years) collection project for town biodiversity. When we also run a 12 day Bioblitz for the same town area can it be set up so that submitted observations to the ongoing town project by members also appear in the Bioblitz? This would avoid requiring people to join both projects (confusing!) in order to participate in the Bioblitz.
Observations can be in as many projects as they meet the criteria for. So if you have two collection projects with overlapping criteria in some way, the observation will appear in both.
If I’m not mistaken, I believe the opening poster (OP) is trying to avoid having people join both projects.
if the bioblitz is set-up as a separate project, and that one collects observations based on project members, people will need to join that one separately as well, even if they’ve already joined the perpetual one
If you know everyone’s iNat account, you can add them to the blitz project yourself as “Observed By:” then their observations will be added even if they don’t join the blitz project
