Description of need: If you comment on a flag and then resolve it (i.e., one of the most common curatorial workflows), you get a rather silly notification letting you know that you resolved the flag.
Feature request details: Don’t notify users when they resolve a flag (just like you don’t get a notification when you put an ID on an observation you’re following).
I think this is unexpected behavior (since as far as I’m aware we don’t receive notifications on any other actions we ourselves have done on the site), so I posted it as a bug report rather than a feature request.
It would also be nice to only get one notification for a comment that tags you on an observation you follow – instead of one notification for the comment and one for the tag. I can create a separate thread for that issue if desired but they seem pretty similar.
That would be a separate topic, but staff aren’t accepting standalone feature requests related to notifications currently (as they already recognize the system needs to be revamped and have done some planning around it).
