While identifying on web, annotations of "cannot be determined" for Alive or Dead persists to subsequent observations

Please fill out the following sections to the best of your ability, it will help us investigate bugs if we have this information at the outset. Screenshots are especially helpful, so please provide those if you can.

Platform (Android, iOS, Website): web site

App version number, if a mobile app issue (shown under Settings or About):

Browser, if a website issue (Firefox, Chrome, etc) : Brave

URLs (aka web addresses) of any relevant observations or pages:

Screenshots of what you are seeing (instructions for taking a screenshot on computers and mobile devices: https://www.take-a-screenshot.org/):

Description of problem (please provide a set of steps we can use to replicate the issue, and make as many as you need.): We come across an annotation while identifying, and that annotation persists onto the next or several subsequent observations we are identifying. Have noticed it only with annotation “Cannot be determined” for Alive or Dead.

A few days ago this happened and we wound up disagreeing on the votes and leaving comments for the annotator (“How can you say “cannot be determined” when the bird is clearly dead?” We noticed it was a bug and deleted the comments.). Today, we realized the bug was happening again because the “cannot be determined” annotation is persisting but there is a second Alive or Dead annotation field available and active (see screenshot above)!

We know the persisting annotation is a mirage, because the observation page itself shows no annotation at all for Alive or Dead (see below) (https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/245128544):
