Why is my iNat project not showing an add observation button?

I’m relatively new so maybe I’m missing something. My project doesn’t show an add observations button.

https://www.inaturalist.org/projects/honey-bee-swarms-of-australia

That is a collection project, not a traditional project, so observations are automatically added based on the project requirements.

Hm, but when I created the project I only had two options, collection and umbrella. Am I missing something?

At the very end of the page you’ll find a rather inconspicuous note and link to create a traditional project:

I unfortunately don’t see this. Would you mind sending me the link?

You need to have made 50 verifiable observations and confirmed your email address in order to make a traditional project.

Ah good to know, thanks!

Sorry, should have linked to the help document.

One issue with your current project is that it collects every Apis observation - I see I have 23 in your project, but none of them are of swarms. Getting actual swarms into a traditional project will be an interesting challenge as many people don’t know what a swarm is (see the observations from the link in the previous topic above - some are swarms, some are just individual bees, some are established feral hives.)

You might like to get in touch with @Suecee who created that topic to see if she is interested in creating a project.
