Incorrect version of Chinese on iOS

Platform (Android, iOS, Website): iOS

App version number, if a mobile app issue (shown under Settings or About): 3.2.8

Browser, if a website issue (Firefox, Chrome, etc) : N/A

URLs (aka web addresses) of any relevant observations or pages:
Example taxa: Red-eared Slider
Example observation: Observation from screenshot

Screenshots of what you are seeing (instructions for taking a screenshot on computers and mobile devices: https://www.take-a-screenshot.org/):

Description of problem (please provide a set of steps we can use to replicate the issue, and make as many as you need.):
My phone’s language is set to simplified Chinese, and when I am using the app, I see the traditional Chinese names for certain species. (Example: red eared slider, but it happens with more taxa)

When using the website and manually setting the language to Simplified Chinese it displays fine.

I know that iNaturalist integrates with Wikipedia for certain species, and Wikipedia does not have separate pages (kinda) for traditional vs simplified, so perhaps that could be contributing to the issue.

Step 1: Change iPhone language to simplified Chinese

Step 2: Open iNaturalist app

Step 3: Search for “Trachemys scripta elegans”
