Oologies can be absolutely amazing or just okay.

You should definitely check out On Wildlife !

Radio New Zealand’s Our Changing World podcast is very good.

Also the Australian Broadcasting Corporation recently started publishing Nature Track, which complements their excellent Off Track podcast.

In the same vein, does anybody have any in French? For practice.

I recently stumbled across Tune into Nature with Karthic, which has lots of great nature-related stories from New Zealand.

First of every month Michigan Department of Natural Resource has a podcast:
Michigan.gov/DNRwildtalk

Since this topic died out a new podcast started that is absolutely fantastic. The Golden State Naturalist focuses on the great state of California and various nature topics within California.

Heck, TLC, literally called The Learning Channel, is just slice of life drama nowadays. It is kind of sad, really.

Grubbing in the Filth is great for those who don’t have a lot of backbone.

Edit: for those who don’t have a lot of interest in backbones.

Also great? The BBC’s Best of Natural History.

I love Grubbing in the Filth. It’s my second-favorite nature podcast, after my favorite podcast, period: Naturally Adventurous.

Thanks for the Naturally Adventurous suggestion! I’ll check it out.

There’s also a lot of great shows that have nature or species themed episodes. Someone mentioned Ologies, which has a lot. But there’s also general science ones like Scientific American, that one from the Smithsonian, and in Canada there’s CBC’s Quirks and Quarks, and also Ideas.

I listened to a great one today on the Ideas show called, ‘The Marrow of Nature: the Case for Wetlands’ which was excellent.

I rather like Mongabay podcasts. Not so much about nature itself as about conservation and environmental issues.

I don’t think these were mentioned yet, all available on apple and I enjoy listening

Oregon State Extension PolliNation https://extension.oregonstate.edu/podcast/pollination-podcast

  • mostly talks about bees
  • I might be in a future episode :slightly_smiling_face:

Just want to add to the list that some volunteers and I just launched the Jumpstart Nature podcast. We have a short pilot season and are looking for ways to make these creative projects sustainable (it’s a lot of work!) To my amazement, we reached #3 on the Apple USA Nature category charts.

Episodes are 20-30 minutes covering important nature topics. We have expert commentary from a variety of perspectives, and wrap it in a fun and immersive narrative. We try to be real about the challenges we face, but always provide actionable steps and inspiration, too.

I like Talk Nerdy with Cara Santa Maria. Not all of the episodes are nature, but it has a lot of good interviews and you can sort out which ones are nature by the titles.

Thank you everyone for the long list of podcasts for me to check out, I’m always behind and now I have more to listen to, haha. Can’t wait to check some of these out

If you’re interested in plants and pollination like I am, then In Defense of Plants is a must

If you’re also environmentally savvy and keen to learn more about grassroots conservation efforts focused on some of our most important natural assets, then this fairly new podcast will be of great interest to you:
